Cool Pool
Cool Pool returns for our third season from Sunday 22nd September – 10am – 12:30pm for 6 weeks, every Sunday 10am – 12:30pm
Cold water swimming in one of the fastest growing pastimes in the UK and from our location in the North Yorks Moors National Park, we are providing a safe environment to feel the exhilaration of Autumnal swimming in the open air.
Physical and mental health benefits of cold water swimming are second to none and entry includes a free hot drink when you get out.
We need Cool Pool to be viable. Entry will be £5 on the day but in order for the Trustees to commit to the 6 week programme we are looking to secure £750 in pre-sales. A season pass (6 swims) is £20 with a one off swim £4.50 when pre-booked are now available. If we do not reach our pre-sale target – oniline tickets will be refuned.
Wetsuits can be worn.

Artist In Residence
Solstice Swim
A unique opportunity to swim at dawn on the longest day, Friday 21st June.
We will open at 04.30 until 07:30 on the summer solstice and again from 19:15 to 22:15! The pool will also be open as normally with 4 sessions from 11:15 to 19:00.

Now in its 5th year these popular swim & run events will take place on Tuesday 30th July and the following two Tuesdays in August. Junior and Adults, novices and masters are all welcome.

Cycling the Yorkshire Lidos
Yorkshire has 3 beautiful lidos at Ingleton, Ilkley and Helmsley with Otley our best hope of a 4th and they all need your help. It is a 95 mile cycle between them, that can be under taken over the weekend or one day for the super fit.
A planned cycle may return in 2019 to celebrate our 50th Anniversary.
We offer free swims to anyone who has cycled from the other 2 lidos
Lifeguarding Classes
See the ‘friends’ page for more details. We would like to extend our season into September and we required volunteer lifeguards to do this. The plan is to hold training sessions at the start of the season for the volunteers
